Spegra Tablet is a combination antiretroviral medication used for the treatment of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection. Dolutegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide are its three active ingredients; they all perform together to inhibit viral replication and boost immunity.

Composition: Dolutegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide


Mechanism of Action:

Dolutegravir: Prevents the integration of viral DNA into the host genome, which is essential for the virus's replication, by inhibiting the integrase enzyme.
Emtricitabine: Prevents viral RNA from being converted to DNA by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme. Like emtricitabine, tenofovir alafenamide works against HIV by blocking the virus's ability to replicate by inhibiting reverse transcriptase.

Dosage and Administration:

One tablet taken once a day, with or without food, is the usual dosage.
