2. How may Trombonat work?

It is believed to stimulate specific receptors on bone marrow stem cells, which may potentially promote the production and maturation of blood platelets.

3. What conditions may it be prescribed for?

It may be considered for chronic ITP or severe aplastic anaemia in certain patients, subject to your doctor's clinical assessment.

4. How is Trombonat 25mg typically taken?

It is generally taken orally once daily. Adhering strictly to a consistent daily timing, as advised by your doctor, is crucial for optimal absorption.

Yes. Dairy products, calcium-rich foods, and mineral supplements may significantly reduce absorption. You must adhere strictly to your doctor's instructions to separate these from your dose by several hours.

6. What are the possible side effects?

Patients may potentially experience nausea, diarrhoea, headache, elevated liver enzymes, or anaemia. Report any concerning symptoms to your doctor immediately.

7. Are there serious liver risks?

It may potentially cause hepatotoxicity (liver injury). Adhering to your physician's schedule for regular liver function tests is absolutely mandatory.

As platelet counts rise, there is a potential risk of thrombotic events. Adhere to all scheduled blood tests so your doctor can manage your dosage safely.

9. What is the usual dose?

The starting dose is typically 25–50mg once daily. Dose adjustments must be made exclusively by a qualified healthcare professional.
